1. Acknowledgment of Risks and Release of Liability

I understand that participation in board games, video games, tabletop role-playing games, and related activities provided by Nerd Lounge LLC involves certain risks. These risks may include, but are not limited to, eye strain, repetitive motion injury, tripping over equipment, emotional discomfort from game themes, and accidental damage to personal property. I voluntarily assume all such risks. In consideration of being allowed to participate, I hereby release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue Nerd Lounge LLC, its owners, employees, or contractors from any and all liability, claims, or demands arising out of my participation, including injury, illness, or property loss, except in cases of gross negligence or intentional misconduct.

 

2. Responsibility for Property 

I understand that I am responsible for my own personal belongings during the event. I agree to treat the games and equipment provided by Nerd Lounge LLC with care and may be held responsible for replacement costs if I cause damage through misuse or neglect.

 

3. Code of Conduct 

I agree to follow all instructions given by the Nerd Lounge Team over the course of the event. I understand that disruptive, unsafe, or inappropriate behavior may result in my removal from the session without refund.

 

4. Medical Authorization 

I certify that I am physically able to participate. I understand that Nerd Lounge LLC does not provide medical treatment. In the event of an emergency, I authorize Nerd Lounge staff to call 911 on my behalf. 

 

5. Media Release 

I consent to photographs or videos taken during the event being used for promotional purposes by Nerd Lounge LLC. I can opt out of this consent by leaving the checkbox blank on my booking confirmation.

 

6. Minors 

If a participant is under 18 years old, this waiver must be signed by a parent or legal guardian. The signer assumes full responsibility for the minor’s participation.
